Icelandic Spar

The Vikings called Icelandic Spar by the name of sunstone. True, it is a completely different mineral than sunstone but their naming came from one of it's many uses; finding the sun on a cloudy or foggy day. This transparent beauty comes in many colors and has much folklore to fill a few books. Most commonly used for navigation but also for the symbolic language potency on the subconscious mind by it's double-refraction property. When light passes through it bends two ways making images appear double.
